Providence Connects/First Source

Providence Connects, also known as 'First Source,' was created to ensure that residents benefit from the financial assistance provided to Providence businesses.

All businesses that receive financial assistance from the City, including businesses receiving loans or grants from the Providence Economic Development Partnership, are required to use the list of prospective employees maintained by the City as a first source for recruiting and hiring new employees. It’s easy to access and the City’s First Source Coordinator stands ready to help.

Additionally, Providence Connects sponsors training programs specific to the needs of local businesses. Contact the First Source Coordinator to learn more at 351-4300x428 or email awilliams@providenceri.com.
