Fab Labs are public technology workshops that encourage entrepreneurs to take their ideas from the drawing board to product prototype. AS220, the nonprofit art, design and innovation organization, partnered with the City of Providence and MIT’s Center for Bits and Atoms to create the Providence Fab Lab at AS220 Labs.

AS220’s Fab Lab provides training and public access to technology and equipment that allows anyone to design and invent on a computer. The labs also expose school children to design technology.
